UPDATE!!!

We are currently finishing off our detailed storyboards, to give us a fairly in depth idea about the sequence of shtots in our opening and give us a structure to work from when we actually begin filming, which will be next week sometime. The locations we have are my partner bedrooms house and bedroom, and around the area. we will use our friend from outside of school to help with the acting Joe Gorman.

The research we have done is comparing serial killers from different movies, horror and horror comedies, also we have done some analysing on scary movie as it is a perfect example of our genre. This will give you a good idea of what our film will be like.

Our starting scence is going to be some what like this, showing the killer close up, getting ready in to his clothes, and grabbing his weapons etc. This will work well as it is a good example of our opening few scenes.

Continuity Task

The 180° rule is a basic guideline in film making that states those two characters (or other elements) in the same scene should always have the same left/right relationship to each other. If the camera passes over the imaginary axis connecting the two subjects, it is called crossing the line. The new shot, from the opposite side, is known as a reverse angle.

Me and courtney filemd our own task, with the help one other Kerry Roberts. i think it was a success because we achieved all our targets set out, like using the 180 degree angle shot, and filmed really well. We could improve it by perhaps, making it longer, and adding more dialogue.

Me and courtney had no problems, when it came to the filming, as we kept it quite simple. However the editing wasnt as easy, due to using a Mac book which neither of us has used, but we managed to finish the editing, and it turned out really well. Overall everything went to plan, and the fimlimg was really good, there were no jumps or other problems.

Horror Comedy

Ideas for plot!

For this assignment i have formed a group with Courtney Attwood, the genre we have decided to go with is a horror comedy. Our opening two mintues will start with, The killer getting ready in the mirror, putting clothes on, gathering his equipment (etc). With evil music playing, but as he’s going out, he walks into the door, and the music stops playing, and your hear the killer grunt, and takes out anger on the door (kicking it, punching it, stabbing it, and screming at it).
